The event discovery platform driven by what actually matters: who’s going
We want to help people connect offline and make the most of the free time AI will grant us.
Today: Youni shows college kids what’s happening on campus and where their friends are going. To date, we’ve gotten 17k attendees to events run by our 400 organisers, generating more than $100k in GTV. 10k of those attendees were in the last month alone.
We source events in two ways:
(1) Youni AI searches for events on behalf of our students that are being advertised or ticketed elsewhere - i.e. turning event promotion images on Instagram into events on our app.
(2) Organisers can create events in app, sell tickets/ get RSVPs etc.
We have scaled event supply faster than any of our competitors. Organisers don’t need to sign up to Youni , their events appear anyway and students sign up and spread their events on the app. Thanks to the increased attendance rate, organisers are claiming their AI-created group page, to then benefit from the organiser tools: ticketing, data-analytics, community notifications and our sponsorship features that matchmake them to advertisers.
Next: Youni is just community 1, the UK’s university subthread. We want to tailor to any community and any individual across the world. That means event discovery and social planning assisted by your very own AI agent. It knows your calendar and can interact with your friends’ agents, helping you guys find the best events to go to together, whilst handling the annoying coordination. The AI-powered search, able to find and format all publicly available events that exist in the world. Our app needs to then offer a mix of recommendation and user-driven discovery, that gives you the ability to decide what to go to, not just based on supposed interests, location or timing, but critically, on what your friends are doing too. If you’ve got a friend that always goes to the best techno nights, we want you to be able to filter events by what they’re going to or have been to.
